Connor, nicknamed by Rocky, is a 2 year male Labradoodle (though it’s suspected he could be Goldendoodle) who ended up at the shelter in a horrific coat condition. It appears someone found this pup who had wandered into their backyard, and called Animal Control to pick him up.
When found just less than two days prior to Rocky discovering him, they noted how incredibly matted he was with burrs in his fur and all over his body – something that needed help right away. He also had a collar on with a patch that says the words, “Mama says I’m special.”
The shelter is not returning to the owner without counseling first as his condition points to something that had accumulated over the course of likely months.
After being at the shelter for the full holding period, unfortunately his family never came back for him. Thankfully, Connor was able to be groomed by the shelter groomer Mel, so not only is he feeling much more comfortable, but…
